Dragan Huljak (born 1968) is a Kresimirian industrial executive and the Managing Director of Vokamet, the Cetingrad steel combine owned by Maj Holdings. A native of the Foundry District, he is the principal local spokesman for Maj Holdings in western Kresimiria.
Career
Huljak trained as an industrial accountant at municipal night courses and joined Maj Logistics’ western desk in the mid-1990s, after privatisation had already placed the Combined yards under Maj ownership. He worked freight reconciliation between lake barges and Foundry District sidings, then moved into Vokamet’s cost-control office after the 1998 Steelworks Incident, when Polograd demanded tighter local reporting without relocating headquarters staff west.
He became Managing Director in 2011, succeeding an interim plant committee. Supporters in the Combined workforce credit him with keeping blast schedules stable during Silvija Bujan’s Northern Power mayoralty.
Relationship with Maj Holdings
Huljak’s public style is deliberately local. He speaks Cetingrad dialect on TRK regional slots, wears Foundry District safety jackets at photo calls, and almost never shares a stage with Bran Maj. Correspondence published by Northfocus during the Red Shore litigation showed CapEx approvals routed to Maj Tower; Huljak’s signature covered only site-level overtime and municipal waiver applications.
In 2012 Huljak was a named co-plaintiff in Vokamet v. Northfocus, after Red Shore identified him as the local executive who signed municipal discharge waivers. The District VIII Court granted temporary broadcast injunctions; the Appellate Tribunal later vacated that prior restraint while leaving damages claims open.
Relationship with Robert Lujek
During the 2022 mayoral election he endorsed Independent candidate Robert Lujek, arguing that Northern Power liability rules would “close the Combine.” After Lujek’s victory, Huljak became a regular guest at City Hall industrial roundtables — the plant face beside the municipal face of the same absentee ownership structure.
