The Shadow Cabinet: reshuffle brings back a familiar face

The government has promoted a man it spent last year denying it employed.

The autumn reshuffle has returned to the front bench a man whom the government spent most of last year describing, in writing, as a consultant with no executive role, no office, and no signature.

He now has all three, and good luck to him. Ari Stov called the appointment “a renewal.” The Blue Dawn benches applauded. The Council for Development, which keeps the register of who may sign what, said the paperwork had been “regularised.”

We look forward to learning which of the two the voters are expected to have believed.
