Welcome to the official home page of Republic Rail

Republic Rail (RZ) operates all railway and public coach services within the Divine Republic of Kresimiria. Established on 1 January 1989 under the State Enterprise Act, the company holds a constitutionally protected monopoly on rail transport and is the largest employer in the Kresimirian public sector.

This site contains the current timetable, the principal routes and their lengths, fares, and details of the rolling stock. Printed timetables remain available at all staffed stations.

SERVICE NOTICE. Passenger trains enter the Bosken border zone (District X, Moraviskameja) only during the two daily security windows at 06:10 and 13:40. Services to Brod Moravice may be suspended at short notice. Intending passengers should report to the station master at least 30 minutes before departure.

Service updates

16 September 2024. Winter timetable published. Valid from 1 October 2024 to 31 March 2025.
12 September 2024. Cetingrad Central reopens following the "Harmony Series" rebuild.
4 September 2024. Bistrica Oreline increased to 42 paths per day.
30 August 2024. New sleeping cars enter service on the Polograd – Cetingrad overnight.
22 August 2024. Speed restriction lifted near Ravna Skrad following track renewal.

Accommodation: single-berth and double-berth sleeping compartments, and four-berth couchettes. A light breakfast is served from Varazdinske. Reservations are compulsory.

The Ravna Skrad Corridor is reduced on Sundays under the district's Quiet Commerce Ordinance. The Viskogorje Mountain Line runs every three hours.

Second class fares are set by distance. First class is charged at one and a half times the second class fare. Fares on the District X armoured coaches are subject to security supplement.

RZ Unified Card (Jedna Karta)

Since 2019 both rail and coach services accept the rechargeable RZ Unified Card. Cards are issued in the colour of the holder's home district.

Refunds: a fare is refunded in full if the train is more than 60 minutes late at the destination, on surrender of the ticket at the booking office within seven days.

The Sovereign: deep royal blue with a silver crown emblem.
District Link: white with diagonal green stripes, one for each district served. District X services carry black and gold striping.
RZ Freight: matte industrial red, with older units in grey and yellow.
Maintenance of way: hazard orange with reflective markings.

Republic Coach

Inter-city coaches: forest green with a cream underbelly.
Rural connectors: sunset yellow with brown bands.
Urban shuttles: charcoal grey with teal highlights.
District X armoured coaches: all matte grey, escorted by the Gendarmerie on certain routes.
