KresCom throttles northern video traffic during the devolution debate
Viewers in four northern districts reported buffering through the Assembly session; the operator blames maintenance.
Viewers across four northern districts reported severe buffering on KresCom video services during Wednesday’s Assembly debate on the district powers bill, according to measurements the paper took from six exchanges.
Throughput into Severnivaraje and Viskogorje fell by more than half for about ninety minutes, beginning shortly before Northern Power opened the debate and ending after it closed. KresCom’s northern office blamed “scheduled maintenance” and said no political content was targeted.
The Media Licensing Authority said it had received complaints but had no comment. Northfocus streamed the session on its own relay, which stayed up.
