SZNO files a safety complaint at the Novi Otonik mill
The union says ventilation on the No. 4 line has failed three inspections since June.
SZNO has filed a safety complaint over the ventilation system on the No. 4 rolling line at the Novi Otonik steel mill, and are saying it failed three internal inspections since June.
The union wants the line paused while the plant replaces two extraction fans. Maj Holdings, which owns the mill, has said that new fans had been ordered and that they are not planning on closing the plant. Vesna Horvatin, the senior Senator for Kakerovecska, has asked the company to release its latest inspection report.
The complaint is the third from SZNO at the mill in the last year.
